Key Tenets of Team SPECTRE

Maturity
Our team has grown from miscellaneous individuals into a group of friends. Members come from different backgrounds, genders, age groups, and career paths. We have worked hard to transform from an unorganized collection of players into a well trained and coordinated team. As such, we expect nothing but the best conduct, on and off the field, from our teammates. We respect each other and extend the same courtesy to other players, teams, and officials. Any insults or lack of respect towards SPECTRE and its members by anyone are to be ignored and left uncommented. We do not need to defend ourselves.

Sportsmanship
SPECTRE practices conformity to the rules, spirit, and etiquette of our sport. We do not trash talk, we’re not sore losers, we don’t brag about our victories. Our team members take great pride in bringing new players to our sport. The best way to entice new participants to any sport is to demonstrate our fair play, good character, and sports ethics.

Integrity
We do not cheat. The two main cheats in scenario paintball being “The Wipe” and “The Dead Man Talking”. You won’t find any of our members doing either of these, or any other type of integrity violation. We hold each other to the highest standards ethically and morally. We pride ourselves on fair play and being honorable on and off the field.

Dedication
SPECTRE membership is based around participation. We have monthly practices to improve our teamwork and tactics, work and cleanup days at our home field, local games at our home field, games we travel to compete in, and team meetings in the off season to keep everyone up to speed on all of our happenings. Every member that attends events with SPECTRE is awarded participation points. We expect a certain level of participation from all members, which is displayed by your point total. SPECTRE understands that its members have real life commitments outside of paintball, but also wants all members to understand that the more dedicated you are to the team, the more rewarding the team experience will be to you.

Majority Voting
Anything that affects SPECTRE is put to a majority vote of the Core Membership. This means new members, team officers, our schedule, even our uniforms are decided on by the team itself. No one member makes a final decision regarding the direction the team is going in without approval of the rest of the team.
